5 Bermuda golfers win spots for PGA Tour's 1st stop on island

Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton to host Bermuda Championship

5: Number of Bermudians playing in the PGA Tour’s inaugural Bermuda Championship, which begins Thursday at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda. Daniel Augustus IV, Jarryd Dillas, Kenny Leseur, Dwayne Pearman and Michael Sims will be competing on sponsor exemptions. Leseur is a 15-year-old amateur who attends International Junior Golf Academy in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. Dillas, also an amateur, has represented Bermuda at the World Amateur Team Championship. Augustus, Pearman and Sims are professionals (tee times).

7: Number of years that the WGC HSBC Champions, which begins Thursday at Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai, has been an official event on the PGA Tour. The tournament dates to 2005 and became part of the European Tour in 2009. American Xander Schauffele is the defending champion (tee times).
