Golfpass will live stream BMW PGA

ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 17, 2019) – GOLFPASS, golf’s most comprehensive digital membership, will offer exclusive, featured-group live streaming of all four rounds of the European Tour’s BMW PGA Championship, Sept. 19-22.

This year’s Championship features one of the best fields in the history of the tournament who will be teeing it up at Wentworth Club, located just outside London, England. Top golfers scheduled to compete include 2019 FedExCup Champion and 2019 PGA TOUR Player of the Year Rory McIlroy, defending BMW PGA champion Francesco Molinari, Paul Casey, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Jon Rahm and 2019 Open Champion Shane Lowry, as well as Americans Tony Finau, Billy Horschel and Patrick Reed. The BMW PGA Championship is one of the eight prestigious Rolex Series events in the 2019 Race to Dubai, the season-long competition to crown the number-one European Tour player.


McIlroy – founder of GOLFPASS – will be part of a featured player group also including Molinari and Lowry during the first two rounds of live streaming – beginning at 3:45 a.m. ET on Thursday and 7:35 a.m. ET on Friday. Additional streaming coverage will continue throughout the weekend. GOLFPASS is partnering with the European Tour and Discovery Communications to present streaming events featuring McIlroy and collaborating on developing future content for its membership program.

Handling play-by-play for the live streaming of the BMW PGA Championship will be Dominik Holyer, who will be joined by analyst Anthony Wall. Following the featured group and reporting from the golf course will be Gary Murphy. Production elements will be highlighted by Toptracer technology, which displays the flight of a golf ball digitally within a camera feed; and ARL Virtual Eye, which uses Toptracer within a 3D model of a hole layout.
