This year’s Championship features one of the best fields in the history of the tournament who will be teeing it up at Wentworth Club, located just outside London, England. McIlroy – founder of GOLFPASS – will be part of a featured player group also including Molinari and Lowry during the first two rounds of live streaming – beginning at 3:45 a.m. ET on Thursday and 7:35 a.m. ET on Friday. Additional streaming coverage will continue throughout the weekend. GOLFPASS is partnering with the European Tour and Discovery Communications to present streaming events featuring McIlroy and collaborating on developing future content for its membership program.
Handling play-by-play for the live streaming of the BMW PGA Championship will be Dominik Holyer, who will be joined by analyst Anthony Wall. Following the featured group and reporting from the golf course will be Gary Murphy. Production elements will be highlighted by Toptracer technology, which displays the flight of a golf ball digitally within a camera feed; and ARL Virtual Eye, which uses Toptracer within a 3D model of a hole layout.
