ORLANDO, Fla. (Aug. 28, 2019) – The Korn Ferry TOUR Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance takes place Friday-Monday, with live coverage of the season-culminating event airing on GOLF Channel. On Monday evening, 25 PGA TOUR cards will be awarded for the 2019-’20 season based on player performance in the three-event Korn Ferry TOUR Finals. The LPGA Tour is in Oregon for the Cambia Portland Classic, with live coverage airing in primetime Thursday-Sunday on GOLF Channel as Jin Young Ko headlines the field. The European Tour is in Switzerland for the Omega European Masters, with Rory McIlroy in the field coming off his FedExCup title on Sunday. The PGA TOUR Champions are in Canada for the Shaw Charity Classic, where Scott McCarron will defend his 2018 title.

Van Dam & Yin taking part in “long drive” competition, airing within Thursday’s telecast: On Tuesday evening in Portland, Anne Van Dam and Angel Yin – arguably the two longest players on the LPGA Tour – squared off in a friendly match to try and settle who is truly the LPGA’s longest hitter. Van Dam defeated Yin with a longest recorded drive of 326 yards. A recap of the competition will be shown during Thursday’s live tournament coverage, which also will feature an appearance from Phillis Meti, the current No. 1 ranked competitor in the women’s division on the World Long Drive circuit.
Torres to be featured in “Caddie Knows Best” on Thursday: During Thursday’s opening round coverage, Maria Torres and her caddie will be featured in “Caddie Knows Best,” where Maria will try to match answers to questions posed to her caddie about her interests and habits on Tour.
Van Dam to join broadcast booth on Friday: GOLF Channel will welcome LPGA Tour player Anne Van Dam into the broadcast booth during Friday’s live second round coverage, offering insight and perspective during the telecast. Van Dam also will recap her experience taking part in the long drive competition with Angel Yin earlier in the week.
Alex defends: Marina Alex finished four strokes ahead of Georgia Hall to claim her first LPGA Tour victory.
