ORLANDO, Fla. (June 19, 2019) – One of the strongest fields of the year will assemble at Hazeltine National Golf Club this week in Minnesota for the third women’s major of 2019 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Live coverage Thursday-Friday will air on GOLF Channel in primetime, with NBC providing weekend coverage on Saturday-Sunday. The PGA TOUR is in Connecticut for the Travelers Championship, with Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, Bryson DeChambeau and Francesco Molinari leading the field. Scott McCarron is set to defend on the PGA TOUR Champions in Wisconsin at the American Family Insurance Open, airing Friday-Sunday on GOLF Channel. The European Tour is in Germany for the BMW International Open, where Matt Wallace will defend his 2018 title.

KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit airing live on Wednesday:

On Wednesday, the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit will be streamed live and in its entirety starting at 10:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday on GOLF Digital from on-site at Hazeltine National. The summit will feature an assembly of accomplished leaders in sports, business, politics and media to inspire the next generation of women leaders. GOLF Channel will air live the Summit’s “Inspire Greatness Fireside Chat” within Golf Central’s 4 p.m. ET news conferences show (Fireside Chat starting at approximately 5 pm ET). NBC Sports’ play-by-play host Dan Hicks will host and moderate the chat with two-time Olympic gold medalist Mia Hamm. NBC Sports’ Emmy Award-winningSunday Night Football sideline reporter Michele Tafoya will emcee the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit.

NBC Sports “Playing Through” enhanced commercial break format returns: Making its debut on NBC at the Ryder Cup in 2016 at Hazeltine National, NBC Sports will implement its popular “Playing Through” commercial break enhancement for fans tuning into the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, employing a split-screen model for a select number of national commercial breaks.

Golf Central, Morning Drive coverage from Hazeltine: GOLF Channel’s signature news programs, Golf Central and Morning Drive is scheduled to provide comprehensive, wraparound news coverage throughout the week, produced on-location at Hazeltine National Golf Club. Lauren Thomspson will set the stage each day on Morning Drive with on-site interviews. In addition to daily shows, Golf Central will present special player news conference shows Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET and Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.

Park defends: Sung Hyun Park defeated So Yeon Ryu and Nasa Hataoka with a birdie on the second playoff hole to claim her fourth career LPGA Tour victory.

PGA TOUR LIVE on GOLF Channel on Thursday: During Thursday’s opening round of the Travelers Championship, GOLF Channel – complementing its traditional live tournament coverage beginning at 3 p.m. ET – will offer viewers an extended live look-in at PGA TOUR LIVE coverage, the PGA TOUR’s over-the-top subscription video service on NBC Sports Gold. PGA TOUR LIVE coverage on GOLF Channel will air from 7:30-9:30 a.m. ET and from Noon-2 p.m. ET in advance of traditional live tournament coverage at 3 p.m. ET.

Golf Central, Morning Drive coverage from Travelers: GOLF Channel’s Golf Central and Morning Drive will offer on-site news coverage throughout the tournament. Matt Adams will offer insight on Morning Drivewith on-site interviews and reports. Golf Central coverage from TPC River Highlands will be hosted by Rich Lerner, who will be joined by analysts Brandel Chamblee and Justin Leonard, along with George Savaricas, who will provide reports and interviews with those in the field.
