Sailfish Point Named One of Golfweek’s ‘Best Residential Golf Courses’

(STUART, Fla.) – Sailfish Point – the 532-acre oceanfront luxury community on Hutchinson Island 45 minutes north of Florida’s Palm Beaches – announces its Jack Nicklaus Signature Course has been named to Golfweek’s 2018 list of “Best Residential Courses.”

The annual list of the country’s 100 top residential golf courses is determined by Golfweek’s elite team of more than 850 course evaluators. Each year, the raters survey over 3,600 layouts, grading each nominated course in accordance with Golfweek’s 10 strict standards of evaluation. Sailfish Point ranks 75th on the prestigious list.

“We’re honored to receive this prominent recognition from one of the industry’s leading publications,” says Victor Tortorici, PGA Director of Golf at Sailfish Point. “It is a testament to not only Mr. Nicklaus’s inspiring, strategic design, but also our operations and agronomy teams who manage and maintain this layout to championship standards.”

Opened in 1981, the course was renovated by Nicklaus Design in 2007. Play is challenging and varied for golfers of all skill levels while numerous holes offers picturesque views stretching along 7,088 yards of waterfront scenery. The par-4 signature 18th hole has been dubbed “Window on the Sea” for its remarkable ocean view.

Steps away from the Sailfish Point Clubhouse is a short-game practice area where golfers hone their skills before moving on to the driving range or teeing up on the first hole. There are four full-time teaching professionals on staff and the fully outfitted pro shop offers a wide selection of golf equipment and gear.

Surrounded by water, the coastal enclave offers stunning and secluded properties with exclusive waterfront access to the Atlantic Ocean, Indian River and St. Lucie Inlet. Sailfish Point offers a myriad of move-in ready options including spacious beachfront estates, low-maintenance condos, villas and townhomes with private boat slips.
