Nemacolin Woodlands Resort opens season


Two Championship Pete Dye Courses, World-Class Golf Academy Among Highlights 

(FARMINGTON, PA)Nemacolin Woodlands Resort – the acclaimed luxury resort in the Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania – announces its exciting 2018 golf season started with the April 1 opening of its two celebrated Pete Dye-designed golf courses.

Shepherd’s Rock opened last July to rave reviews and was featured in GOLF Magazine’s 2017 “Best New Course You Can Play.” Golfweek named Mystic Rock No. 1 in its “Best Courses You Can Play in Pennsylvania.” The resort also received the coveted “Editors’ Choice Award” from Golf Digest in the “Best Golf Resorts in the Americas” category. 

In addition to extraordinary courses, the state-of-the-art Nemacolin Golf Academy offers topnotch instruction led by PGA Professional Eric Johnson, a Golf Digest “Top 100 Teacher.” Highlights at the world-class facility include individual lessons, TrackMan® Golf Radar Solution, SAM Putt Lab, V1 Video System, BodiTracks as well as one-, two- and three-day golf schools. 

The Golf Academy also offers expert club-fitting for custom-made equipment ideal for everyday golf aficionados and junior players as well as professionals. The latest technology is used to accurately analyze individual swings and build the perfect clubs for consistent, enjoyable golf.

Through Nov. 3, Nemacolin’s season-long Stay & Play Golf Package includes luxurious overnight accommodations, a round of golf on Mystic Rock or Shepherd’s Rock, and breakfast each morning. The offer also includes a golf cart as well as locker room and range usage. A two-night minimum may be required and seven-day advance reservation is requested. Other restrictions and fees may apply.
