PGA National’s Bottke wins section honor

(PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.) PGA National Resort & Spa – home of the PGA TOUR’s Honda Classic and former Ryder Cup venue – announces its PGA Teaching Professional, Warren Bottke, has been named “Teacher of the Year” by the South Florida PGA.

This annual award recognizes golf instruction professionals providing outstanding service with their students as well as promotion of the game and training techniques for junior players. In 1988, Bottke became the youngest Master Professional in PGA history. He currently serves as a faculty member for the PGA Master Professional certification program, where he mentors PGA Professionals working to earn their certification as Master Professionals.

Through his dedication to developing and improving educational opportunities for PGA Professionals, Bottke was awarded the PGA of America’s National Horton Smith Award in 2005. He received the same award at the Section level in 1987, 1989, 2004 and 2005. In 2015, Bottke earned the “Golf Professional of the Year Award.”
