Walker Trolleys exceeds first, second quarter sales projections

‘Walking golf lifestyle brand’ meets growing demand with first premium push cart for players, purists

(AUSTIN, Texas)Walker Trolleys – a walking golf lifestyle brand and maker of premium push carts –exceeded first and second quarter sales projections for its Cape model amid strong nation-wide demand for walking-engineered golf gear.

The company has sold 90% of the first production run of the Cape through pre-order and immediately launched a second run to replenish inventory and fulfill orders. April revenue was up 300% over March, and May was 300% above April’s top line. Founder and CEO Brad Payne says June and July sales could exceed the previous three months combined.

“The response to the Cape has been incredible,” says Payne. “Walking golf and push carts are experiencing a renaissance as golfers realize the health, wellness and fitness benefits. As we round into the fall and cooler weather, we expect demand to further increase.”

From its inception, the Cape was crafted to be distinctly different than other push carts, drawing inspiration from the roadsters and ultra-cool bicycles from the 20s and 30s. Its anodized aluminum frame, waxed canvas storage and handcrafted leather handle combine to create a clean, classic design separating it from a crowded field. The Cape is easily collapsible and fits in the trunk or cargo area of almost any vehicle.

Customizable soft good storage accessories, foam-filled tires and an umbrella accessory are in development and will be available in the next few months. A non-folding, storable version of the Cape is in the works, ideal for courses, clubs and resorts.

“People have rediscovered the joy of walking golf during the pandemic, and we expect this trend to not only continue, but grow,” Payne says. “We are one of only a few push cart companies that has inventory to continue meeting demand. Moving forward, we have positioned the brand well for the future.”

The Cape retails for $399 and is available to order at Walker Trolleys’ online store and will generally ship in 1-2 days. For more information on Walker Trolleys, or to join the walking golf movement, visit any of the links below.

About Walker Trolleys
Walker Trolleys makes golf equipment respecting and supporting the tradition of walking the game. The company’s first product, the Cape model, is built for the player and purist who appreciates style, form and function. Premium materials – including aluminum, waxed canvas and handcrafted leather – create a unique, elegant appearance that wouldn’t be out of place on the great links courses of Scotland during the time of Old and Young Tom Morris.

A convenient one-fold handle makes collapsing and unfolding the Cape easier than any other push cart on the market. The patent pending central hub enables the handle and legs to bend on two separate axes, allowing for a compact fold. The storage unit, made of water-resistant waxed canvas, provides an endless number of ways for golfers to customize their trolley.

A non-folding line of the Cape is under development and will be offered directly to courses, clubs and resorts as a rental option. These push carts will nest for quick and easy storage, and premium soft good options will be customizable with logos and other branding elements.
