#EachforEqual spurs new opportunity for registrations for the global locations
(WEST PALM BEACH, FLA, 9 March 2020) International Women’s Day (IWD) enjoyed a tremendous celebration this past weekend, highlighting the importance of equality not as a women's issue, but as a business issue, which has prompted WGD to proudly announce a series of new supporters who are putting their resources behind Women’s Golf Day. Taking place on June 2, 2020 and now in its 5th year, Women’s Golf Day’s single day global event has taken place in 900+ locations, across 52 countries. Gender equality is essential for economies and communities to thrive so to celebrate these new announcements, WGD has introduced a special code, IWD20, that will give venues a saving of $79.99, making an Official location listing free and Preferred listing only $60.
Inspired by the campaign #EachforEqual, Elisa Gaudet, Founder of WGD, introduced way that women who play golf can actively encourage others to use their voice to empower change. She explains, “Collective Individualism is the central theme of the IWD campaign, and this is exactly the thinking that has helped WGD grow across the world. We rely on countless individuals who all campaign to encourage others to participate as well as those people who have made a personal decision to get their clubs and venues involved. The people who make Women’s Golf Day happen are all individuals, but together we have one voice. Collectively we can make change happen.”
Momentum is already growing in the build up to June 2nd with new partners coming on board to put their weight behind the campaign. These include Sky Sports who will be supporting with coverage across the coming months and Modest Golf Management, whose commitment to the female game runs across their business. Mark McDonnell of Modest Golf Management comments: “Modest Golf Management is proud to support Women’s Golf Day as part of our ongoing commitment to developing the women’s game. As far as we are concerned, the women’s market holds the key to the future of the sport, which is why we have been instrumental in bringing women into the tournaments we manage including The ISPS Handa World Invitational. We encourage any venue considering signing up to embrace this incredible worldwide movement and hold an event on June 2nd.”
To top it off, WGD has a new sponsor, SwingDish; a luxury female golf clothing brand for fashion conscious women with independent spirits and a taste for design who will be announcing a special opportunity for those who plan to celebrate WGD in the coming weeks.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, the team behind WGD is offering discounted location registration on the website www.womensgolfday.ciom with the code IWD20 until the middle of this week. You don’t need to be a golf course to take part. Past venues include retailers such as PGA Superstore, Topgolf locations and Driving Ranges – essentially anywhere you can swing a club!
Elisa concludes, “Women’s Golf Day is a real celebration and a window to what golf can look like. I am delighted that Modest Golf, Sky and SwingDish are coming on board. Together we can make a real difference to our sport.”
