Golf Channel to air play on 3 major pro tours

PGA Tour's Honda Classic, Champions Tour's Cologuard Classic and European Tour's Oman Open play this week

ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 25, 2020) – The PGA TOUR shifts to South Florida this week for The Honda Classic, with live tournament coverage airing across GOLF Channel and NBC. World No. 2 Brooks Kopeka will headline the field. 20-time LPGA Tour winner (and South Florida native) Cristie Kerr will contribute to the network’s live tournament coverage as an on-course reporter. Complementing GOLF Channel’s live tournament coverage on Thursday, the network will expand its opening round live coverage, offering viewers an extended live “look-in” of feature group streaming coverage (from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. ET) via PGA TOUR LIVE on NBC Sports Gold. The PGA TOUR Champions are in Arizona for the Cologuard Classic, where Bernhard Langer, Scott McCarron and Hall-of-Fame pitcher John Smoltz lead the field. Martin Kaymer, Haotong Li and Thomas Pieters headline the field on the European Tour, with live coverage of the Oman Open airing Thursday-Sunday on GOLF Channel.

20-time LPGA winner Cristie Kerr joining live tournament coverage as on-course reporter: Major champion and 20-time LPGA Tour winner Cristie Kerr will join GOLF Channel’s live tournament coverage at The Honda Classic, where she’ll contribute as an on-course reporter. A native of South Florida, Kerr won the 1995 Girls Junior PGA Championship at PGA National. Kerr has previously contributed to GOLF Channel’s news coverage, as a studio guest analyst for Golf Central during the PGA TOUR’s 2019 Sony Open in Hawaii, and as a guest analyst in the booth (alongside Judy Rankin) last November at the CME Group Tour Championship.

PGA TOUR LIVE “Extended Look-In” airing Thursday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. ET: GOLF Channel will expand its opening round live tournament coverage of The Honda Classic on Thursday, offering viewers an extended live “look-in” at feature group streaming coverage via PGA TOUR LIVE on NBC Sports Gold. An extended live look-in of PGA TOUR LIVE featured groups will air Thursday on GOLF Channel from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. ET, immediately prior to traditional live tournament coverage from 2-6 p.m. ET.
