Golf Channel to televise events on 6 major pro tours

ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 15, 2020) – The LPGA Tour kicks off its 2020 season this week at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions. Live tournament coverage will air across GOLF Channel and NBC (Saturday-Sunday), with Nelly Korda headlining the field. The PGA TOUR begins its West Coast swing at The American Express, where Adam Long will defend his 2019 title. World No. 1 Brooks Koepka begins his 2020 campaign at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship on the European Tour, where he’ll make his first start since re-injuring his knee in October. The tournament marks the first of eight Rolex Series events in 2020. The PGA TOUR Champions begin the 2020 season in Hawaii at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai, where Ernie Els makes his debut on the over-50 circuit. Live coverage will air in primetime Thursday-Saturday on GOLF Channel. 2016 Rio Olympics medalists Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson and Matt Kuchar are all in the field at the Singapore Open on the Asian Tour, with live coverage beginning Wednesday night on GOLF Channel. The Korn Ferry TOUR continues its run in the Bahamas, with the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at Baha Mar airing Sunday-Wednesday live on GOLF Channel.

2020 LPGA Tour season kicks off on GOLF Channel, NBC: The LPGA Tour season kicks off this week on GOLF Channel and NBC at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, the first of 33 LPGA Tour events airing across GOLF Channel and NBC during the course of the season. In total, NBC Sports will dedicate nearly 500 tournament hours to the LPGA Tour in 2020, the most-ever for the network in a single year.
Ji defends: Eun Hee Ji finished two shots ahead of Mirim Lee to capture her fifth career LPGA Tour title.
Headlining the field: Nelly Korda, Danielle Kang, Sei Young Kim, Nasa Hataoka, Brooke Henderson, Lexi Thompson, Ariya Jutanugarn, Inbee Park, Jessica Korda and Amy Yang.

Tournament venues, rotation: This week marks the fifth consecutive year of the tournament using the three-course rotation of PGA West (Stadium & Nicklaus Tournament Courses) and La Quinta Country Club. 156 professionals will play three pro-am rounds with different individual amateurs Thursday-Saturday, competing in one round on each of the three courses. Sunday’s final round will be contested on PGA West’s Stadium Course.
Long defends: Adam Long outlasted Phil Mickelson and Adam Hadwin by one stroke to earn his first career PGA TOUR win.
