David Cornwell joins NewEngland.Golf

Cornwell will contribute interviews, travel pieces, historical and lifestyle assignments

BOSTON, Mass - New England dot Golf (, a digital marketing platform that highlights the best of golf in New England and beyond, has announced that acclaimed golf journalist David Cornwell has joined its team of golf writers.

David Cornwell joins the NEG team that includes Bruce Berlet, Steve Pike, Ed Travis, Rob Duca, Leigh MacKay, John Ingoldsby, Len Ziehm, David Theoret and Pam Borges. The total combined experience of the staff exceeds 300 years, more than any other print or digital golf media outlet, and it is ranked No. 1 on Google Search.

In his new role, David will be providing regular contributions ranging from interviews, travel pieces, historical and lifestyle assignments.

David is a life-long Vermont native who started in the golf business in 1980 publishing a series of golf guide books to golf courses in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont, with noted author Bob Labbance.

His background includes covering professional tournament golf starting in 1983 for The Vermont Valley News and for the next fifteen plus years, journaled The Masters, US Opens, PGA Championships and The Presidents Cup, as well as the PGA Tour east coast stops.

Over the span of 38 years David has interviewed all of the giants in the game including Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson, Seve Ballesteros, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. He has written for several regional golf publications with a focus on biography, history, architecture and destination golf.
