PGA and LPGA Professionals Invited to Compete in the Topgolf® Tour during the 2019 PGA Fashion & Demo Experience, Aug. 14, in Las Vegas
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – PGA and LPGA Professionals attending the 2019 PGA Fashion & Demo Experience are invited to register for the Topgolf® Tour Championship Qualifier on Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 4 p.m.–8 p.m., during the annual PGA Demo Experience at Topgolf Las Vegas.
The Topgolf Tour in Las Vegas is one of 19 regional tournaments taking place in North America, Australia and the United Kingdom, June 24-Aug. 14. Each tournament is open to 68 teams of two players (male, female or mixed-gender teams), with spots filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The winning two-person team from each regional tournament will earn an all-expenses paid trip to Las Vegas for the Topgolf Tour Championship on Aug. 23-25, with a chance of returning home with the $50,000 cash prize.
During the Topgolf Tour regional tournament, players will hit microchipped golf balls at targets with varying point values on the outfield. In round one, all teams will play three games. Using the cumulative scores from round one, the field will be cut to the top eight teams, who will move on to the second round of the tournament. The third and final round is a one-game, match-play shootout between the top two scoring teams from the second round.
PGA and LPGA Professionals attending the PGA Fashion & Demo Experience, in Las Vegas, Aug. 13-14, who are not holding current member status on a professional tour, may participate and will receive a 10 percent discount for tournament registration. In addition, the top six teams of PGA/LPGA Professionals, are eligible for a special $6,500 purse, provided by PGA Golf Exhibitions, at the Las Vegas regional tournament.
The standard Topgolf Tour registration fee is $170 per two-player team and includes:
- Entry into Topgolf Tour Regional Tournament
- Hot buffet
- Official Topgolf Tour insulated water bottle
- $5 donation to Bunkers in Baghdad from every U.S. player registration
Established in 2016, the Topgolf Tour is the first golf tournament series where men and women compete for the same prize and play the same format. The 2019 Topgolf Tour is supporting Bunkers in Baghdad, with $5 from every registration donated back to the organization to help provide new and used golf equipment to military personnel serving overseas.
