2021 Wells Fargo Championship: Purse, payouts and prize money for Quail Hollow Club

Winner of this week's PGA Tour event in Charlotte, N.C., will earn $1.458 million from $8.1 million purse, officials announce

The winner of the PGA Tour's Wells Fargo Championship this week will earn $1.458 million from the $8.1 million purse, officials announced Monday.

The 72-hole, stroke-play event begins Thursday at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C.

Among the entrants, American Max Homa, the 2019 Wells Fargo winner, will be the defending champion after the 2020 event was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Two-time winner Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland is entered. Also, American Justin Thomas, who is ranked No. 2 in the world, will be in the field. He won the 2017 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow.
