Winners Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman split $2,138,600 – that's $1,069,300 apiece – from $7.4 million purse in 2-man event

Teammates Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman of Australia earned $1,069,300 apiece from the $7.4 million purse for their victory Sunday at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

The Aussies won on the first playoff hole at TPC Louisiana in Avondale after they tied South Africans Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel at 20-under 268 through 72 holes.

The tournament is the only official team event on the PGA Tour's 2020-21 schedule.

The format consisted of four-balls (better ball) on Thursday and Saturday, and foursomes (alternate shot) on Friday and Sunday. The 80 two-man teams were cut to the low 33 teams and ties after 36 holes.
