Announced: By the USGA, SentryWorld Golf Course in Stevens Point, Wis., as the host site of the 2023 U.S. Senior Open, according to a news release issued Wednesday. The 72 event, one of five major championships on the 50-and-older Champions Tour, will be held June 29-July 2, 2023. SentryWorld, a Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed public course in central Wisconsin, was developed by SentryWorld Insurance in 1982 as part of a 200-acre sports complex. SentryWorld has hosted two USGA events: 1986 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links, won by Cindy Schreyer, and the 2019 U.S. Girls’ Junior, won by Lei Ye.
