After darkness suspends the weather-delayed opening round, ESPN opts to televise the finish before 2nd-round play begins
ESPN and its Spanish affiliate ESPN Deportes will air live coverage of the completion of the first round of the Masters Tournament on Friday morning at Augusta National Golf Club, with play resuming at 7:30 a.m. EST, the network announced late Thursday. “SportsCenter at the Masters” will air from 7 a.m. until play begins.
A weather delay of 2 hours and 45 minutes shortly after play began Thursday morning prevented the round’s completion before sundown. ESPN will air live coverage of the second round, as previously scheduled, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
CBS will air the final rounds from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Masters.com offers widespread coverage of featured groups and key holes at Augusta National.
