Added: By the European Tour, a second event in the United Arab Emirates to conclude 2020, the tour announced. The $1.2 million Golf in Dubai Championship will be played Dec. 2-5 at Jumeirah Golf Estates’ Fire Course in Dubai. One week later, the tour’s season championship, the $8 million DP World Tour Championship, will be held at the Middle East complex’s Earth Course. The first Dubai event will conflict with the South African Open, which is jointly sponsored by the European and Sunshine tours and will be the finale in a three-week run in South Africa. Keith Pelley, the European Tour’s chief executive, noted the tour’s ongoing efforts to compete in geographical clusters as the coronavirus pandemic has continues to affect travel. “Alongside the South African Open, it gives our players the option of ending the regular season at one of two terrific locations ahead of our season-finale, the DP World Tour Championship,” Pelley said.
