USGA will take 2022 Women’s Mid-Amateur to Florida

Fiddlesticks Country Club in Fort Myers will host the event for female golfers 25 and older

Announced: By the USGA, that Fiddlesticks Country Club in Fort Myers, Fla., will play host to the 2022 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur. The tournament is scheduled for Sept. 17-22 on the club’s Long Mean Course, a 1983 Ron Garl design. Fiddlesticks hosted the 2010 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur, won by Mina Hardin. The site had been scheduled to host the 2021 edition, but when the global coronavirus pandemic forced so many cancellations in golf, including this year's women's Mid-Amateur, Fiddlesticks, the USGA and Berkeley Hall Club in Bluffton, S.C., agreed to changes. Next year’s event will be played Sept. 25-30 at Berkeley Hall’s North Course. The U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur is open to female golfers 25 and older who hold a USGA Handicap Index of 9.4 or better.
