2020 U.S. Open: USGA finalizes field for Winged Foot

5 players earn exemptions via the FedEx Cup standings, rounding out the 144-man field for next week’s 120th U.S. Open

Completed: By the USGA, the 144-man field for next week’s U.S. Open, the association announced Tuesday via a news release. Five more players were awarded exemptions into the 120th Open, to be played Sept. 17-20 at Winged Foot Golf Club’s West Course in Mamaroneck, N.Y. Five PGA Tour members who were not already exempt for the Open won spots via their final standing on the FedEx Cup points list: No. 15 Sebastian Munoz, 27, of Colombia; No. 37 Brian Harman, 33, of Sea Island, Ga.; No. 40 Tyler Duncan, 31, of Columbus, Ind.; No. 44 Mark Hubbard, 31, of Denver; and No. 45 Danny Lee, 30, of New Zealand. Qualifying for the Open was canceled because of the global coronavirus pandemic, so the tournament will be composed entirely of exempt players. For the complete list of entrants, click here.
