Major champions Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth and Justin Rose form all-star pairing for early rounds of Greensboro event
Brooks Koepka, a four-time major champion, will play with fellow American Jordan Spieth, a three-time major winner, and former U.S. Open champion Justin Rose of England on Thursday in the 7:50 a.m. EDT group on No. 10 tee at Sedgefield Country Club.
Also, Americans J.T. Poston and Brandt Snedeker will be paired with Spain’s Sergio Garcia at 12:55 p.m. EDT on No. 1 tee. All are former Wyndham champions. At No. 6 in the world, he is the highest-ranked player in the Official World Golf Ranking entered. Simpson will be paired with fellow American Brendon Todd and South Korea’s Sungjae Im at 7:40 a.m. EDT on No. 10 in the group ahead of Koepka-Spieth-Rose.
The Wyndham Championship is the final event on the 2019-20 regular-season schedule and the last chance for players to make the top 125 in the FedEx Cup standings and qualify for the first of three playoff events. The playoffs begin with The Northern Trust on Aug. 20-23 at TPC Boston in Norton, Mass.
