Joel Stalter claims 1st European Tour title

The Frenchman, who played college golf at Cal, posts a 2-stroke victory at the Euram Bank Open, the tour’s 2nd consecutive event in Austria to restart the season

1: Number of victories on the European Tour for France’s Joel Stalter, who won the Euram Bank Open on Sunday in Ramsau, Austria. Stalter, 28, closed with a 2-under 68 for a 14-under 266 total and two-stroke victory at Adamstal Golf Club. Stalter, who played college golf at California through 2014, is in his third season on tour. England’s Richard Mansell (71) finished second at 12-under 268. The tournament, the second consecutive event in Austria in the European Tour’s season restart, was co-sanctioned by the developmental Challenge Tour. Under the European Tour's revised schedule, the first of six consecutive tournaments in the United Kingdom, the Betfred British Masters, will be played this week at Close House Golf Club in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England (scores).
