Portugal Open will complete a 3-event Iberian Swing in September, and the Magical Kenya Open has been rescheduled to be played opposite the Masters Tournament
Added: To the European Tour schedule, two tournaments, the tour announced Friday (here and here) , one day after having rescheduled two other events. The Portugal Open will be played Sept. 17-20, forming the final event of a three-tournament Iberian Swing, with the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucia Masters and the Portugal Masters. The Portugal Open will be held at Royal Obidos Spa & Golf Resort in Obidos and serve as a dual-ranking event with the developmental Challenge Tour. The three events on the Iberian Peninsula of Spain and Portugal will promote the tour’s strategy of regional play and minimized travel during the coronavirus pandemic. The tour also rescheduled the Magical Kenya Open for Nov. 12-15 at Karen Country Club in Nairobi. The tournament, initially scheduled for March 12-15, will be played opposite the Masters Tournament at Augusta (Ga.) National Golf Club. Under its revised schedule, the European Tour restarted play last week at the Austrian Open after a four-month hiatus because of COVID-19.
