5th PGA Tour player tests positive for coronavirus

Harris English withdraws from this week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit, the Tour announces

Withdrew: Harris English, from this week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic, after he tested positive for coronavirus, the PGA Tour announced Monday in a news release. He was replaced by Chandler Phillips. English, 30, a two-time PGA Tour winner, did not compete last week at the Travelers Championship. Under PGA Tour guidelines, which conform with recommendations by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, he must go into self-isolation for 10-14 days. English is the fifth PGA Tour player to test positive for coronavirus since the return to competition on June 11. The others: Cameron Champ, Dylan Frittelli, Denny McCarthy and Nick Watney.
