LPGA’s developmental tour intends to resume play July 24 as part of a 10-tournament season cut short by the coronavirus pandemic
Revised: By the Symetra Tour, its schedule for the anticipated restart of the LPGA’s developmental tour next month, the tour announced Wednesday in a news release. One day after the LPGA announced changes to its season restart, the Symetra Tour shuffled its lineup for the rest of 2020 because of the shutdown from the coronavirus pandemic. The Symetra Tour will resume play July 24 with the three-day, 54-hole FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship at Battle Creek (Mich.) Country Club. Three weeks later, the tour will begin a two-week stop on the West Coast, in Mesa, Ariz., and Beaumont, Calif. Six more tournaments will complete the 10-tournament season, which wraps up with the Symetra Tour Championship on Nov. 3-6 in Davidson, N.C.
