Withdrew: American Jordan Spieth, from this week’s Sony Open in Hawaii, citing a cold, according to a report on PGATour.com. Spieth is expected to begin 2020 at the Farmers Insurance Open on Jan. 23-26 at Torrey Pines in San Diego. Spieth, 26, a three-time major champion and former World No. 1, has not won since the 2017 British Open and has slipped to No. 44 in the Official World Golf Ranking. In his most recent start, he placed 16th in the 18-man unofficial Hero World Challenge last month.
