Returned: To the Asian Tour schedule after a four-year absence, the Malaysian Open. The tournament was not held in 2016-19 because title sponsor Maybank and event promoter GlobalOne pulled out when the Malaysian Golf Association retained management company Lagardere Sport to run the tournament. The 2020 event, with a $1 million purse, will be played March 5-8 at Kota Permai Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam, near Kuala Lumpur. The tournament will be co-sanctioned by the Japan Golf Tour Organization. Past champions of the tournament, which dates to 1962, include Vijay Singh (1992, 2001), Lee Westwood (1997, 2014) and Louis Oosthuizen (2012).
