Postal Service will honor the late Palmer with stamp in 2020


Announced: By the U.S. Postal Service, that the late Arnold Palmer will be honored with a commemorative stamp in 2020. Palmer, who died in 2016 at age 87, won 62 times on the PGA Tour, including seven major championships. He will be recognized as a “globally-revered champion.” The stamp will feature a photo of Palmer in his prime, tanned and fit, in his swing follow-through during the 1964 U.S. Open. The postage will be issued as a “forever” stamp, so its value always will equal the price of a first-class stamp.
