Nick Faldo vs. Rickie Fowler

Faldo should have directed insight from Ben Hogan toward Fowler rather than taking a tone-deaf commercial dig, reader contends

"If you can’t outplay them, outwork them.”

If Nick Faldo really wanted to motivate Rickie Fowler, maybe he should have quoted Ben Hogan rather than making a jealous fool of himself.

Faldo shouldn’t talk about someone doing commercials. He's doing one for shoes that, he claims, add seven yards of distance to your drives. At least Fowler’s stuff doesn't make false promises.

Tiger Woods’ ‘lack of awareness’
Ridiculous (“From the Morning Read inbox,” March 4).

Yes, a Porsche could handle a turn better, but the Genesis could handle that turn at a speed that would terrify most drivers. It's about driver skill and awareness.

No skid/braking marks indicate a lack of awareness by Tiger Woods.
