Praise for Van Sickle and his Hellenic prose

Reader would opt for a PGA Championship instead of a U.S. Open, but don’t bring either to Muirfield Village

Great job by Gary Van Sickle. I really enjoyed reading his article (“Will USGA defend par in Open? It’s Greek to us,” Sept. 16).

Personally, I’d rather go to a PGA Championship than a U.S. Open. I’ve been to both.

I did not particularly care for Jack Nicklaus’ tournament at Muirfield Village this year.
