Building balance with the Bosu Squat

Ever wonder what that odd looking half blue ball in the gym is for? You can use the bosu ball to add a balance challenge to many exercises. Even something as simple as a squat done on the bosu can improve your balance by forcing your body to fire many small muscles at once to keep you stable.

And since balance declines with age, it’s important to actively work on your balance to help slow—and even reverse—that decline.

Once you master the standard squat exercise, adding the bosu ball will go a long way to creating a consistent swing that you can reproduce over and over.
