When Rolling Greens Golf Club opened earlier this spring in Smiths Falls, Ontario, it did so with a lot of fanfare. The course is neither new (it opened in 1966) nor highly rated because of a compelling design. So why all the media hubbub? Well, on April 1, when the course unveiled its new name, Rolling Greens also became the first course where golfers could smoke cannabis out in the open. Last fall Canada decriminalized cannabis, and, as a result, Rolling Greens changed with the times. So, go ahead, toke, err, tee up the puns.
