PING Apparel AW '18

“Warmer. Softer. Drier.” It was a rallying cry of sorts for the planners and designers at PING Apparel as the company embarked on its Autumn-Winter '18 collection. The just released performance apparel reflects that mantra up and down the men’s and women’s lines.

“We’re 100% committed to clothing that performs for golfers, moves as freely as they do, provides warmth without bulk and is engineered for the demands of the game,” said Andy Solheim, PING Executive Vice President. “We ensure all of that by sourcing the highest-quality materials because anything less affects playability. For AW18 we integrated extra-fine Merino wool, Primaloft insulation, and fleece that provides unrivaled softness. From our jackets and sweaters to the outer layers, the polos and pants, every piece combines comfort, breathability and freedom of movement.”

Solheim highlighted three key technologies for guarding against the elements with exceptional comfort: Primaloft insulation, Zegna Baruffa fine Italian Merino wool, and Pertex for the ultimate in stretchable, breathable windproof and waterproof technology. He added that the AW18 collection carries on with its Sensor Technology Platform – SensorWarm, SensorCool, and SensorDry – apparel custom-engineered to perform from base layer to outer layer.

The AW ’18 collection is sold in select stores through the U.S.

World’s Largest Golf Outing Benefits Fisher House Foundation

This year’s World’s Largest Golf Outing (WLGO) – a national event on Monday, August 6 benefitting Fisher House Foundation – is less than a week away with player registration and charity donations in high gear.

Since inception in 2011, more than 57,000 men, women, juniors and seniors have played in 33 states to raise more than $3.75 million for military and family charities.  Several national celebrities, including PGA Tour Legend Chi Chi Rodriguez and 42nd President Bill Clinton, have donated to WLGO.

The eighth annual WLGO is a charitable golf tournament conceived by Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of Billy Casper Golf, played on more than 100 golf courses simultaneously throughout the U.S.

“The gratitude for our courageous veterans continues to grow annually,” says Hill.  “Participating in World’s Largest Golf Outing is a fun and important way to show support for those who sacrifice their lives to preserve our freedoms.”

More than 105 courses across America are set to host the event.  The military will be honored with moments of silence, ceremonial tee shots, standing ovations, the national anthem, color guards, patriotic decorations, on-site military vehicles and flyovers.

Single player, twosome and foursome registration remains open at www.WLGO.com and participating courses until the morning of the event, unless at capacity.
