Number of weeks that American Michelle Wie was out of competition after an emergency appendectomy prompted her to withdraw after the third round of the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open on Aug. 26. Wie, who turned 28 on Wednesday, is scheduled to return today at the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship in Incheon, South Korea (tee times: http://bit.ly/2xxdqYZ).

Number of players competing in this week’s CIMB Classic who played in the recent Presidents Cup. Justin Thomas is the lone member of the winning American team entered. Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama, who at No. 3 in the Official World Golf Ranking is the highest-ranked player in the tournament, is one of seven players from the International team who will compete.
